Recruitment Volunteer - Listening Project

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Minnesota Children's Museum

Position Summary

This project is part of a Museum-wide initiative to practice deeper listening with our audience and stakeholders. In this project, we are hosting three focus groups with parenting adults in the Twin Cities: one with the Museum’s current core demographic mix, one with Hmong adults, and one with African American adults. The purpose of the focus groups is to gather feedback on the Museum’s "Delighting Adults" strategies in the new Forces at Play gallery (opening August 2016). One of the strategies at the core of Delighting Adults is recognizing their interests and inspiring them to play and explore. The feedback and insights gained through these sessions will inform how this strategy is used in the other new galleries, as well as projects in the future. The Recruitment Volunteer will play a key role in identifying individuals to participate in the focus groups.

Responsibilities The Recruitment Volunteer is responsible for connecting with parenting adults and inviting them to participate in the Museum’s focus groups. The Museum will provide recruitment lists and may ask the volunteer to research other contacts as well. The volunteer will schedule the sessions, provide participants with advance communications via email and/or telephone, check-in participants on day of session, and maintain attendance lists.
