Are you age 55 or greater (whether or not you're retired) and want to remain active and engaged in life? Are you passionate about issues in your community and want to make a difference? Then RSVP is for you!

RSVP works with individuals age 55+ to enable them to apply their skills and lifetime of experience to help meet important needs in our community. With more than 30 volunteer locations throughout Davis County, we can help find the perfect volunteer opportunity for you - whatever causes are near and dear to your heart.

We believe that it shouldn't cost volunteers to serve, so we will reimburse you for your mileage to and from your volunteer site, up to 200 miles per month. Additionally, we provide RSVP volunteers with supplemental insurance coverage while in service. Mission Statement

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.

Description

Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.

RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.

When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
