Want to help kids with brain tumors? Join the Ride for Kids Baltimore Washington Task Force and help us plan our Sept. 23, 2018 event!
Ride for Kids is the longest-running, most successful motorcycle charity event in the nation. You don't have to ride or own a motorcycle to help the kids!
Ride for Kids supports the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, the leading nonprofit funder of research into one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer. The event also funds free educational resources, college scholarships for brain tumor survivors and emergency financial aid for families.
A Ride for Kids task force is a volunteer committee that partners with the PBTF staff to plan, prepare for and conduct a Ride for Kids event.
Main Positions
- Recruitment Coordinator
- Sponsorship Coordinator
- Location Coordinator
- Event Day Festivities Coordinator (food, entertainment, activities for kids, etc.)
- Event Day Logistics Coordinator (parking, police escort)
- Event Day Volunteer Coordinator (registration, accounting, photography, other event day volunteers)
- Media Coordinator
The 2017 Baltimore/Washington Ride for Kids will take place on Sunday, September 24 at Turf Valley Golf Resort. Monthly meetings take place weeknights in preparation for the Ride for Kids.

Mission Statement
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's mission is to care for children with brain tumor's (our Stars) and their families along their journey, cure childhood brain tumors, and help survivors and families thrive.
Description
To accomplish our mission, we aim to:
- Fund research to find the cause of and cure for pediatric brain tumors
- Increase public awareness about the severity and prevalence of one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer
- Aid in the early detection and treatment of this disease
- Support a national database on all primary brain tumors
- Provide educational and emotional support for patients and families
