About

A Free Bird is a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization based in New York City. Our focus is to provide children, ages 4-18 who are patients or survivors of juvenile cancer, the opportunity to explore their artistic passions and give them the strength to fight their disease. We believe that artistic expression is critical for healing! A Free Bird supports children affected by cancer in their exploration of art, music, acting, poetry, writing, singing and any other artistic passion they may have.

Description

The tutor is able to play on an piano including a keyboard and is able to teach the notes to each child. Someone ideally who has played the piano prior and for years and is able to teach a young child how to play and keep them engaged. This individual should have knowledge in how to deal with sick children, this is not a requirement but must understand that we do have children who are sick and you must know how to schedule your program accordingly.

Must have the ability to work for 12 weeks, an hour per week and will be compensated for the transportation.
