Heartland Hospice believes that no one should die alone and we need caring and passionate volunteers to help us achieve this mission. Vigil volunteers are called when a patient is showing signs of symptoms of dying within 72 hours. We train our volunteers to understand the dying process and how to best comfort the patient during this transition. No hands-on skills are necessary, just a compassionate heart and a desire to be of service to the dying. If you would like to know more about this opportunity, we would love to speak with you!

Simply respond to this post and our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you with more information about how to get started.
