Help us provide decent homes to low-income families by keeping our Store running as a Truck Donations Assistant. All profits from our Stores go straight to our mission and we need your help to keep the donations coming in!
As a volunteer Donation Truck Assistant, you will go into the community on our Habitat Donation Truck to pick up material donations from private and commercial donors to sell in our Habitat Stores. You will work with the Donation Truck Driver to load donations from donor homes or businesses throughout Snohomish County and bring those donations to one of our Stores, where you will help unload the donations.
You will meet new donors every day and use your great people skills to show them appreciation for their donation and leave a lasting positive impression of Habitat for Humanity.
You will be trained to appropriately accept or decline offered donations. This includes training to use equipment to move and load objects of various sizes safely and with minimal physical effort. You will learn to pack the truck efficiently and safely as well as keep the necessary records of all donations. This advanced position is fun and interesting with a high sense of accomplishment.
*We are unable to accept court ordered volunteers for this position. Please call if interested. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation prior to their service. Please view orientation schedule at habitatsnohomish.org.
