Join our award-winning program! The Volunteer In Paradise (VIP) program was recently certified by Points of light as a Service Enterprise. VIP was also recognized by the Arizona School Boards Association with a Golden Bell Award and by the National School Boards Association with a First Place Magna Award in 2015.

As a VIP you provide academic assistance to children in grades K-6 during the school day. You receive the training and support to become an effective, confident tutor and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Tutoring opportunities are available on campus and online.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Volunteer in Paradise program in the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to increase student achievement by providing instructional assistance and the individual attention of dedicated, high-quality volunteers while also promoting positive school and community partnerships.

Description

VIP volunteers provide one-on-one and small group instruction on campus and online to children in grades K-8. Volunteers are paired with teachers based on their interests and schedules, and receive the training needed to become effective, confident tutors.
