Volunteer Receptionists are needed for AM (9am-12pm) Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Volunteers of America's (VOA) Veteran Service Center, serving the program Back Home Support Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)-Denver.
Volunteer receptionists will serve as the initial point of contact for SSVF clients and guests visiting or calling the Veteran Service Center (VSC). Responsibilites include handling an active phone system, welcoming clients and their families, and directing calls and clients to appropriate staff members, case managers, and other veterans' service organizations with offices at the VSC.
This position requires basic office skills and duties, such as internet and computer navigation skills, data entry, and filing. Volunteer Receptionists will be thoroughly trained in the operations of the VSC. Volunteers should be comfortable working with the homeless veteran population as well as the general population of veterans.
