Help Medicare beneficiaries find the most affordable Medicare supplemental and drug plans for their unique situations. GeorgiaCares provides personalized counseling, education, and outreach for Medicare beneficiaries to help answer questions about original Medicare, Medicare health and drug plans, Medicare supplement insurance, and financial assistance programs. After training, volunteers can assist GACares counselors with taking information by phone, entering data into a computer system, comparing costs of drug plans, preparing materials, and/or attending community events in your local county to distribute Medicare information. Those with an interest in public speaking can perform outreach sessions to educate community members about GeorgiaCares services, issues of personal identity safety, and Medicare fraud. GeorgiaCares is the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) administered by the Georgia Division of Aging Services (DAS). GeorgiaCares provides free, unbiased and factual information and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. Administrative positions are available in Hall County.
