Friends of the Boca Raton Public library bookstore

We are looking for volunteers to sell books in our bookstore for a 3-hour shift once or twice a week. Volunteers must be year-round residents of Boca Raton or a nearby community.

Bookstore volunteers sort, select and price donated books for sale, and are sometimes in charge of maintaining and categorizing book genre sections of the bookstore, such as the children’s section, travel book section, cook book section, etc. Duties may include uploading boxes, checking for damage, sorting books by subject and value and making pricing decisions based on a set criteria, and stocking bookshelves with books.

Help further our mission to support and enhance the value of the Boca Raton Public Library in our community. We raise funds through our bookstore to supplement library programs and services. Approximately 80% of our revenue comes from bookstore sales, and each year we fund over $50,000 in special library projects and programming. You can help! If you have some time and would like to meet new people, share, and increase your knowledge of books, and help the library - we would like to hear from you!
