Special Olympics Florida is hosting the State Stand-Up Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida on Friday, August 19. Hundreds of athletes from across the state will be competing in this Championships and we rely on volunteers to make this event possible.

Volunteers will be assisting with the following duties:

ยท Assist with general areas including awards and results, serving as timers and stagers.

Volunteers are needed Friday from 11-4pm to assist with timing, and staging athletes.

Description

Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
