Battle Buddy Bridge

The overall mission of the Battle Buddy Bridge (B3) Program is to partner veterans in need with B3 team members to promote engagement in which veterans set forth on a co-piloted course for achieving success.

As a Battle Buddy you will provide navigation assistance of community resources to wounded warriors, veterans, military family members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities include: · Resource Unit: assist veterans in obtaining VA and community benefits, maintaining records, establish relationships with community service providers. · Outreach Unit: answering phones, engaging veterans in need, scout for participants, create and disperse program flyers and handouts, plan and attend program events and activities. · Veteran Assistance Unit: keep in contact and maintain relationships with each individual veteran, complete needs assessment.

Each year, Volunteers of America Southwest serves over 15,000 individuals, children, and families in San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial, and Orange Counties.

Volunteers of America Southwest assists veterans with disabilities in achieving self-reliance, helps our communities stay safe with public safety programs, provides opportunities for men and women to return to their families clean and sober. We care for seniors and individuals struggling with mental health, house low-income families, and invest in the futures of children through education and social development programs.
