Do you like to walk or run? Then why not walk or run with a shelter dog? Help us get our dogs out of their kennels and into nature! All you need to do is go through a quick orientation then a quick dog handling training class then you will be good to go!
You can take dogs to South Mountain to hike, a quick jaunt to Papago Park, hang out at Starbucks for a coffe and a pupachino, or a romp at a local park or a Farmer's Market! We want to get our dogs out of their kennels and be seen by the public. This is a chance for both our shelter dogs and you to get some exercise!
We really need assistance in getting all of our dogs out of their kennels because we all know a tired dog is a good dog and good dogs get adopted much faster! Won't you help us out?

The mission of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is to ensure that all pets have loving homes when families face major life challenges. We provide compassionate options when Realtors and the community find an abandoned pet.
Description
Lost Our Home Pet Foundation was formed by a group of realty professionals who saw a need to help pets abandoned or displaced by the current housing crisis. We have several programs we offer to help pets that have been affected by the economy. First and foremost we rescue pets that have been abandoned in foreclosed homes. We also offer options for families in crisis to be able to surrender their pet for adoption and not bring them to a shelter or take advantage of our temporary foster program. The Temporary Care Program gives families in crisis a safe place to leave their pets while they transition to a new living environment where they can re-claim their pets again. Our Furry Friends Foodbank is for families who qualify to receive help with pet food and pet supplies in a crisis. This allows them to keep their furry family members with them, and keeps that family's pets out of the shelter/rehoming system.
