Job Title: IT/Technical Support Technician, Job Type: Volunteer

Loaves, Fishes, & Computers (LFC) helps low-income families and individuals obtain dependable computers and inexpensive technical support. LFC is currently looking for caring individuals with computer repair experience looking to help their community. This is a great opportunity to give back, brush up on your skills, provide mentorship to less experienced volunteers or perhaps gain that hand on experience that employers are looking for.

LFC is in search for Computer Tech Support technicians that can volunteer 2-3 days a week Tuesday-Saturday, for 3-4 hour shifts.

Position Description:

Computer Technician helps LFC with client based tech support either by directly working with clients or supervising volunteers who work with clients

Location: Salinas

Salary: This is a Volunteer Position.

Responsibilities:
*Diagnosing computer related problems.
*Ensuring repair forms are properly filled out.
*Utilizing the local server to install software to new computer systems
*Testing Hardware; Printers Speakers, etc.
*Following quality control procedures in order to complete the computer-refurbishing process.
*Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

*A general understanding of Windows OS 7-10

*Strong ability to troubleshoot various tech support issues and work independently or as part of a team as required.

*Good communication skills.
*Some College preferred but not required.
*A+ Certified (or in process of becoming A+ Certified) preferred but not required.
*Previous floor/shop experience preferred but not required.
*A successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle confidential matters with sensitivity and discretion, and a high level of maturity.

Hours: Flexible part-time position 12 hrs/week. We're specifically looking for someone who can volunteer.
