Do you have prior experience with yard work and lawn-mowing? Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity? If so, this is a great opportunity to help out and work on your tan. We are looking for a volunteer to assist a resident with yard maintenance. Your yard work contribution brings feelings of support and pride to the women who live at Mary Witt.
And, we will provide the lawn-mower!
WHERE: Compass Housing Alliance’s Mary Witt House, located in Lake City, is an all-Women’s Recovery House, part of our Transitional Housing Program. The house provides up to a year of supportive residence for women leaving homelessness, including case management, medical referral services, mentoring, job training options, and more.
WHEN: Dates and times are flexible depending on your availability. Help out every few weeks or once a month - whatever your schedule allows!
MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Community Transitional Housing program offers temporary housing for homeless adults in an independent living environment. Participants share housing with other single adults in residential houses in North Seattle, and receive case management and support from our highly trained staff. Two of our transitional houses are specially focused to serve men and women who are in recovery.
HOW TO GET INVOLED: Please contact Erica at volunteers@compasshousingalliance.org or by phone at 206-474-1067 for more information and to sign up!
