Mission Statement

In the Lutheran tradition of caring through service, Compass Housing Alliance develops and provides essential services and affordable housing for homeless and low-income people in the greater Puget Sound region.

We meet people where they are.

Our focus is on helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness navigate their way to stability, growth, and community.

Compass Housing Alliance provides a range of essential services and housing options to people struggling with homelessness and poverty in the Seattle area. With 20+ locations, we are able to serve a large number of those in the community.

Our focus areas fall into the following categories:

  1. Services, shelter, and transitional housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
  2. Permanent low-income housing for individuals or families who do not make a living wage or are formerly homeless.
  3. Development of affordable housing units for low-income tenants.

This is our second year sponsoring both a Thanksgiving meal for a needy family and Christmas gifts for a child. I love how easy it is to communicate with staff members and how accommodating they are about receiving delivery of the donations. About a month after we donated last year we received a really kind email, thanking us for our contribution and how it helped the families. We hope to make this part of our Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions for years to come.
