As we launch for our 4th year of this program, we have added basic coding and science projects as part of our STEM initiative. Our summer reading, math and STEM club starts on July 9th thru August 23rd and we have an opportunity for several volunteers. The club is from 930 AM until 1230 AM. A free healthy lunch is offered from 1130 until 1230 and is optional. These children can be joined by their siblings for lunch at no charge. MANY OF OUR COLLEGE KIDS LEAVE TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL IN AUGUST. WE DESPERATELY NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR THE AUGUST PORTION OF OUR PROGRAM.
Our objective is to promote reading and math as a lifelong activity, as a fun activity. We want children to love reading and math, develop a passion for it. A healthy lunch will also be provided on site for free everyday.
Key responsibilities would include having children read to you, play math games, instruct STEM initiatives, to help out our book club leaders and to supervise the children while they eat.
If you are interested in this opportunity and it is a cause you are passionate about, please contact. Please visit our website @ www.childrenacrossamerica.org and like us on Facebok to follow our activities.
A child who reads becomes an adult who thinks and a healthy mind needs a healthy body.
