Importance of Position: Assist Library Volunteer Coordinator with recruiting volunteers, database entry, email preparation and checking references.
Qualifications needed:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of volunteering is a plus
- Willing and able to follow directions
Job duties:
- List and keep track of volunteer position applications using Volunteer Match
- Review of applications with Volunteer Coordinator
- Processing of candidates (reg forms) Conduct reference checks
- Contact with candidates re: possible available positions (matching)
- Contact with staff re: volunteer needs / development of new positions
- Contact with volunteer list (via email) re: special events etc.
Other administrative tasks
- Update of database H: Drive (end of each month)
- Issuing of badges
- Hrs entry H: Drive (end of each month)
Training Provided: Library policies concerning Volunteers, Orientation to Volunteer Match procedures and other Volunteer recruitment resources.

Time Commitment: Flexible.Approximately 4-7 hours a week
