Join Shark Stewards in our support for our National Marine Heritage Area at Aquatic Park Labor Day Weekend- Sunday at 10AM.
We are conducting ongoing marine debris surveys as part of an ongoing beach clean up and cigarette butt assessment.
We meet every other Saturday at 0900 by the west end of the San Francisco Dolphin Club- our sister organization supporting the abatement of trash going into the San Frncisco Bay.
Join us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/AquaticParkStewards/
We are partnering with the National Parks Service during the Centennial celebration to keep the beach and Bay clean as part of a No Butts in the Bay program.
All materials provided. Join us, pitch in or donate to support Shark Stewards Healthy Bay initiatives and shark research and conservation.

Mission Statement
Restoring ocean health by saving sharks and protecting critical marine habitat.
Description
Shark Stewards employs education, science and media to gain public support and advocate policy for shark conservation and marine protected areas.
We are leading the effort to educate and establish marine protected areas and ban the shark fin trade in North America, and are expanding across the Pacific into Asia with our Pacific Shark Alliance.
At home we are helping rstore habitat in the San Francisco Bay, and keeping the Bay clean through our beach clean ups in the National Parks waterfront in San Francisco.
Based in San Francisco, Shark Stewards is a project of The Earth Island Institute, an environmentalist think tank founded by David Brower and a 501c3 non-profit.
