Partnership Rescuer

This volunteer would be called on to "rescue" our partnerships with food businesses as well as human services agencies that RLC works with. The Partnership Rescuer would be in charge of:

• Assisting with on-boarding of new food businesses that are partnered with RLC.
• Partnership Rescuers would be the first volunteer who picks up from a new location or route for at least three times. Given that new food business partners typically take a couple of weeks to get into the rhythm of packing and donating food, sometimes the employees would not know who we are. It would be the PartnershipRescuers role to explain to employees what RLC is about, and ensure that pickups would go smoothly when other volunteers start to go by.
• Thus, must be comfortable discussing RLC, our mission, and what we do.
• Interacts on a weekly/monthly basis with food partners
• Swing by and talk to owners/employees and collect feedback, what we can do better, etc.
• Rescues a food business relationship when needed
• Help cover events on rare occasions when lead rescuers cancel unexpectedly
• Would ideally live in the area of food rescue event locations
• Assisting with forging new partnerships with potential food businesses
• Expected time commitment: 3 hours per week.
