If you love history and enjoy gardening, please join us as a volunteer at Old World Wisconsin!
Historic gardeners work in period clothing and assist the Historic Garden Coordinator in planting, cultivating, and harvesting the many historic gardens at Old World Wisconsin. Gardeners also have the opportunity to speak with guests about gardening and its role in the 19th century as well as encourage guests to join in the chores being performed. There are also opportunities to help behind the scenes in the greenhouse or for special events.
Old World Wisconsin volunteers receive generous benefits through the Wisconsin Historical Society, including free admission to all 12 WHS sites and museums, as well as discounts on WHS products and in WHS museum stores. Old World Wisconsin provides training and uniforms to all its volunteers.
