Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. 33,000 athletes and families are never charged a fee to participate. Thanks to the dedication of Athlete Sponsorship Agents and the businesses that pledge their support, athlete’s lives are changed!

Imagine making it possible for Special Olympics Florida athletes to travel to Orlando and compete in the statewide Summer Games or Fall Classic at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Imagine helping to fund free medical screenings to give athletes with intellectual disabilities the quality of life they deserve.

By volunteering at Special Olympics Florida as an Athlete Sponsorship Agent, calling businesses that donated to Special Olympics Florida last year and asking them to pledge another gift, you help spread the message that people with intellectual disabilities can and will achieve in ways that bring live changing confidence and joy.

If you are looking to make a difference, this opportunity is flexible during business hours.

Description

Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
