Come volunteer in a beautiful, peaceful botanical garden! The garden work varies from season to season and includes raking, weeding, light brush removal, planting, and other garden tasks. Tuesday and Thursday morning volunteers are needed. All work is done outside with safe distancing and mask requirements in place.

Leach Botanical Garden is a place of beauty, respite, and reflection that is welcoming to all. Leach Garden Friends maintains the Garden's living collections of plants for the purposes of enjoyment, education, research, and conservation. The Garden is a treasure connecting people, place, and plants through discovery and delight, featuring northwest native plants and other unique collections. It is a horticultural resource for both casual and serious gardeners, a hands-on laboratory for environmental education, and an historic site celebrating John & Lilla Leach.
Over 100 volunteers help keep Leach Garden humming. They welcome visitors, provide tours of the Garden, share maps and information, and staff the Gift Shop. They propagate plants, groom trails, and weed garden beds. They stage events and fundraisers, and they work on special projects ranging from marketing and technology upgrades to carpentry and community outreach. We encourage you to visit the garden and become a volunteer!
We'll work with your schedule.
