Become a Power of Parent Volunteer Facilitator for MADD
Teach parents to have intentional, ongoing and potentially lifesaving conversations about alcohol with their kids. Power of Parents is a community-based program and our goal is to reach as many parents as possible and to provide them with the handbooks as tools to have the potentially life-saving conversations about alcohol with their kids. MADD will provide extensive training to provide you with the tool necessary to be successful.
Become a Volunteer Speaker for a Victim Impact Panel
If you have been impacted by a drunk driving crash and would like to share your story, please contact MADD Michigan
Victim Impact Panels give victims a healing opportunity to share their stories in a meaningful way. At a VIP, victims and survivors of substance impaired driving crashes speak briefly about the crash in which they were injured and/or in which a loved one was killed or injured, and how it impacts their lives. They do not blame or judge, they simply tell their stories, describing how their lives and the lives of their families and friends were affected by the crash.
"I am a voice for the voiceless. Not everyone survives a drinking and driving crash and not everyone has the courage to get up and share their trials and tribulations with the public. That is why I feel compelled to do my part in curbing this drinking and driving epidemic." - Josh Clark, Victim Impact Panel Speaker and survivor of a drunk driving crash.
Become a Power of Youth Volunteer Facilitator for MADD
MADD wants youth to have the facts about underage drinking and why it is so important to avoid drinking until the age of 21. Many teens do not realize that drinking underage comes with real consequences that can impact their life now and in the future. Become a facilitator and educate our youth. MADD will provide extensive training to provide you with the tool necessary to be successful.

Programming & Events: MADD conducts victim impact panels annually, reaching thousands of drunk or drugged driving offenders, including first and repeat offenders. These panels feature testimonials from bereaved victims. Signature events include the holiday red ribbon program "Driving Change," encouraging a sober holiday season. We partner with Michigan law enforcement agencies, host the Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon, and organize Walk like MADD, a prominent community awareness event in late summer/fall.
