This volunteer assignment serves a specialized role serving every nonprofit agency accessing the Agape warehouse for pick-up of pre-ordered food and/or USDA commodities allotments.

  • Greet and sign-in Agency reps scheduled to pick-up pre-orders of food and USDA commodities for their organizations.
  • Cross-check orders and commodities allotment forms against assigned cases / quantity received
  • Follow governmental and institutional equitable distribution guidelines
  • Notify assigned warehouse staff to coordinate loading of order on Agency vehicle
  • Obtain signatures acknowledging receipt of pre-ordered food and/or USDA commodities
  • Direct any exceptional circumstances to staff as appropriate
  • Answer questions about non-USDA daily food available and special offers on sharing floor
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Follow safety guidelines to maintain positive and safe working environment
  • Basic knowledge of computer and data entry and inventory control. Pleasant manner, customer service focused, patient, solution oriented, dependable. Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Working Conditions: Non-climate controlled warehouse.

    Support: Training for this position will be provided. In addition, the Agency Relations Coordinator and Bookkeeper will be available for questions and assistance.

    Dress Code: Casual. Dress appropriately for the season. Sturdy, structured closed toe shoe with non-slip sole.
