Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Are you a certified massage or Reiki professional looking to share your gift with those in need? Facing the end of life, our hospice patients (and their loved ones) are often overwhelmed and anxious. The compassionate gift of a healing touch can help them relax - it can be an important part of their transition.
We ask our healing touch volunteers to make at least one patient visit a week. Your volunteer time is flexible, based on your availability and our patients’ schedules.
No experience necessary! We provide you with all the training and support you need, including a network of other amazing hospice volunteers. Many of them say that this is the most meaningful work they’ve done.

If you are caring, flexible, and a good listener - you can provide important emotional and social support for patients who are living with terminal illness.
