The Rampart Search and Rescue cadet program offers young men and women insight into the field of public safety and the opportunity to volunteer in their community. Rampart Search and Rescue cadets are between the ages of 10 and 20. Our cadets receive basic search and rescue training, volunteer for community events that Rampart Search and Rescue is involved in throughout the year. Our cadet program follows the Civil Air Patrol model, older the cadet, the more responsibility for the cadet.

There are no dues to be a cadet with Rampart Search and Rescue.

We promote integrity, excellence and respect, as well as teamwork and leadership . Our goal with the cadet program is to not only give students hard skills that will help them stay safe and rescue others, but also to ensure that participants understand how public safety agencies work, give respect to others and stay safe.

Advancement to Cadet Caption, Sargent, team lead, mission coordinator and list goes on. Cadets can help in many areas of search and rescue, can ride shotgun when searching by vehicle, help run radios, navigate, etc., help in the command post, operate computers, keeping track on field search personal by radios when they are deployed. We have a lot of needs and there is never a slow time of year. Every year we need extra help during the county fair the first week of August.

Do you need community hours for school?
All volunteering with RASR can be used towards your graduation community volunteer hours!
