Mechanical Engineer for Sustainable HVAC Design

* 5+ years industry experience required
* Licensing in our state is not necessary, this is not for a final stamped review, that will come later and be done by someone else
* LEED Experience is helpful but not required

What is the project?

We are seeking help finishing the HVAC design for this City Center structure: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/duplicable-city-center

Here are the specifics of what is still needing to be completed:

  1. Review root cellar FEA results being done by someone else
  2. Research (or already know) how to model Social Dome with indoor/outdoor pool
  3. Calculate Heating Load
    1. Incorporate FEA’s impact on kitchen above
    2. Incorporate Social Dome’s pool
    3. Ensure low wattage lighting is entered correctly
  1. Design ventilation for Social Dome with pool
  2. Design heating and air conditioning system - radiant flooring + ??
  3. Design ventilation system - dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) with energy recovery has been recommended
  4. Data room temerature control design

You are a licensed mechanical engineer with at least 5 years industry experience and an interest and passion for sharing your knowledge and experience; co-creating positive change with our 100% volunteer team of like-minded people. You're likely a leader, a visionary, and someone who wants to make a difference in the world.

What are the HVAC Engineering Needs?

We are looking for your help 5-10 hours a week working closely with our Project Manager to review existing HVAC calculations and complete them based on your experience.
