As a Hospice Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to use any talents or skills you have to serve the community and/or Comfort Care patients. We have many opportunites for those who want to volunteer with as little or as much time as you wish. We need volunteers to do direct patient care such as calling our patients, sitting with them, reading to them, praying with them or reading scripture, helping to maintain their yards, sending them cards and participating in life celebrations. We also need volunteers to assist with activities and events in the community, in nursing homes & assisted livings and in memory care units. If you like or are good at office tasks such as filing, putting together admission packets and helping with mailings those skills are valuable too. Whatever your interests, you can use them volunteering with Comfort Care. Students in the medical, social work and counseling fields that need community hours or internships are welcome. We can give references from previous students and department heads. Volunteers are the heart of hospice and bridge to our community. Join us at Comfort Care!
