With 55 acres and 11 gardeners, San Francisco Botanical Garden heavily depends on volunteers to help maintain our unique plant collections.
Volunteer groups can sign up to work with a SF Recreation & Parks gardener to help with weeding, mulching, planting, weeding, pruning, and other general gardening activities. Volunteers should wear long pants, sturdy shoes, clothes for working outside, and bring a water bottle. Tools, equipment and snacks provided.
Groups of up to 60 welcome, will be split into smaller teams of 10-15 volunteers.
