We love petting farm day...so do the animals! Our pigs squeal with delight while running up to the petting pen...come see for yourself! If you like to educate, have some good animal safety sense, and enjoy being outside then you will love volunteering at our educational petting farm.
Educational Petting Farm:Our hope is to reduce farm animal abuse, neglect, and the need for rehoming by educating the public on the reality of care and ownership responsibility. We believe the lives other farm animals will be changed if there is more awareness of these unsuspected animals in need. A more educated society creates smarter choices and future advocates.
This position is only available to 13 and up.
Our next days available are October 14th and November 25th!

Mission Statement
Helpers Of Our Farm (HOOF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization centered around farm programs that enrich the lives of the community with hands on learning and therapeutic experiences. HOOF’s mission is to provide intriguing educational programs and therapeutic programs through farm animals. With the help of these animals and Greenlands Farm, where HOOF is located, HOOF teaches homesteading skills, environmental science, animal science, and animal welfare. HOOF’s hope is to create a better world for animals and the environment through knowledge. HOOF is a platform for the community to learn, grow, and volunteer.
Description
Greenlands Farm started a petting farm in 2011 with a vision to use farm animals and the sustainable homestead itself as an educationa l platform for the community. Greenlands Farm friends established Helpers of Our Farm (HOOF) in 2016. We are "Helpers of Our Farm" not only because these animals depend on humans to help them, but also because these animals help us by teaching us how to love, care, and learn from them. They perform an important task of educating visitors during our tours, petting farm, and farm classes. The goal has always been to integrate education and therapy into the lives of our community through the lives of these animals. Greenlands Farm has won recognition and an award for their outstanding stewardship of the land with their "green" and sustainable stormwater design.
