The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services.

Description: 

The Volunteer Coordinator is a position that helps Thaddeus manage and organize all of the different types of general volunteers. These general volunteers help with tasks such as sorting donations, data entry and holding drives for items that are needed. The Volunteer Coordinator will manage all of these different volunteers and enable them to do the work that is needed.

Time Commitment:

• Due to Covid-19, this position is 100% virtual until further notice
• All responsibilities will be done fully remotely, at volunteers’ discretion/time
• Must be available to work 5 to 10 hours per week VIRTUALLY
• Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
  • All Staff Meeting: Mondays 12pm - 2pm
  • A virtual Volunteer Meet and Greet is held every month as well

Responsibilities:

• Manage general volunteers
• Plan events or drives
• Communicate with interested volunteer candidates and recruit them
• Connect general volunteers with tasks and organize times for them to help

Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to manage and direct individual and groups of people
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Volunteer must have the appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
