Naturalist Center volunteers support the Wilson Family Naturalist Center at the California Academy of Sciences. Depending on your role, you may be supporting public facing engagements by interacting with guests; aiding in the design, repair, or installation of educational materials and displays; or supporting our educational collection by repairing, cleaning, and identifying specimens. This position is an opportunity to gain a wide variety of knowledge while volunteering in the Public Programs department at the Academy, and in an engaging and ever-evolving environment.

Description
We’re an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum in the heart of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park-and a powerful voice for biodiversity research and exploration, environmental education, and sustainability across the globe. Volunteers are essential to our work, and can be found across all aspects of the Academy, from engaging with guests on the museum floor, to cleaning habitats in the aquarium, to processing and preserving scientific specimens.
