We have a class of twelve adult low-income immigrants who are taking Computer Skills classes with us. They need an instructor to work with them on their typing skills (aka keyboarding). We have the software but we need someone to supervise the students, motivate them to work hard, cheer them when they increase their speed and accuracy. Help them type up their own resumes. (10am - 11am)
We are also looking for a Computer Teaching Assistant: assist the lead instructor in teaching basic computing skills curriculum to 12 students and monitoring their progress; ensure that the students receive individual attention needed to be successful; and assist with the completion of necessary administrative tasks. (Approximately 2 to 4 hours a week). (11am to 1pm)
If you ever took typing or keyboarding classes, then you are qualified to help others learn too!
