Help provide a nutritious meal to home-bound Seniors.
We have routes downtown, around CES (downtown to the river, over to Lake Street and up to Hennepin) and north Minneapolis. We need several types of drivers:
Meals can be picked up between 10:45-11am and meal delivery normally takes about an hour. Meals can be picked up at 1900 11th Ave S, Mpls MN 55404 (we are six blocks south of the USBank Stadium). We practice social distancing when we deliver the meals. Masks, gloves and sanitizer are available for all drivers when you pick up the meals.
You can help out as little as once a month or as much as 3x a week. We encourage volunteers to deliver three times to see if it's something you would like to do on a regular basis. You can choose to deliver to the same route each time or take any route that is open.

Mission Statement
Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.
Description
Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.
CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.
At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.
Will you help us move people from hunger to hope?
