Do you care about food insecurity in Minneapolis? Do you want to help people move from hunger to hopeful? The CES Food Shelf serves over 2,000 neighbors each month and we can not serve everyone without the help of volunteers. The need is growing and we are seeking compassionate, community-focused volunteers to help with our Monday-Wednesday food distribution. A great way to ensure a basic necessity is provided for those who need extra support. Join our team now by visiting cesmn.org and signing up to volunteer. You can volunteer once a month, once a week or whenever it is convenient for you.

Food feeds the soul and when done with a friendly smile can really brighten up someone's day. You can make a difference in the health and well-being of our Minneapolis seniors by providing a nutritious meal delivered right to their door step. Meals can be picked up between 11:00am-11:30 and meal delivery normally takes about an hour. You can help out as little as once a month or as much as 3x a week. You can choose to deliver to the same route each time or take any route that is open. We need your help. Please consider joining our team and support our seniors!

Meals on Wheels needs someone to assist a staff member load bags of food into volunteer drivers cars and receive the empty bags when the drivers come back. We need volunteers Monday through Friday from 11 am to approximately 1 pm. Signing up for once a week or month would be great!! Try it once and see if you enjoy meeting our wonderful volunteers. CES Meals on Wheels delivers over 1,800 meals a week in Minneapolis and we want to make it as convenient for our volunteer drivers as possible. Having the driver stop at the front door, receive their meals and leave without having to park saves them at least 15 minutes. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help out Meals on Wheels but doesn't want to drive.

Mission Statement
Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.
Description
Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.
CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.
At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.
Will you help us move people from hunger to hope ?
