Through Meals on Wheels (MOW) volunteers deliver meals and so much more to homebound individuals. You will be assisting MOW participants to meet 1/3 of their daily nutritional needs while providing a safety check on their wellbeing. You could be the vital source of human connection which enables them to remain living independently in their home.
Davis County Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to drive the MOW delivery vans. Each will serve one 2 1/2 hour shift weekly, Monday through Friday. You select the day(s) that work best with your schedule. Volunteers receive training, orientation to the delivery route and GPS. Volunteers also receive a meal each day served. Volunteers must pass a background check and drug screening before serving in order to keep our seniors safe. (Cost covered by Davis County.)
Davis County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for traveling between home and the Activity Center and supplemental insurance coverage while in service.
We'll work with your schedule.
