Home-delivered meals volunteers play a crucial role in delivering more than just a nutritious meal to homebound individuals. As a volunteer, you will provide an essential safety check on the well-being of MOW participants, while also being a source of human connection that helps them maintain their independence at home.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, Davis County Home-delivered meals program is seeking volunteers for one 2 1/2 hour shift per week, Monday through Friday. You can choose the day or days that work best for your schedule. Volunteers receive comprehensive training, including orientation to the delivery route and GPS navigation, to ensure a smooth and successful delivery process. Plus, you will receive a meal each day you serve!
To ensure the safety of seniors in our community, volunteers are required to pass a background check and drug screening before serving. Don't worry, the cost of these screenings is covered by Davis County.
If you're 55 or older, consider joining the Davis County RSVP for additional benefits, including mileage reimbursement for travel to the Activity Center and supplemental insurance coverage while in service. Join us in making a difference in the lives of homebound individuals by volunteering today!

Mission Statement
Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
