Genealogy Research Aide

ORGANIZATION: Arlington Heights Memorial Library

Do you have experience researching your own or another's family tree? Do you enjoy helping others find out about their heritage? Then please consider volunteering as an aide in the library's Genealogy Room.

You will be a resource for customers doing genealogical research, assisting them with the use of the materials in our genealogy collection and answering questions about the genealogical research process.

Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge of genealogy resources and the genealogy research process.
  • Able to work independently with the public.
  • Willing to make an on-going commitment of three hours per week. We have particular need of volunteers for afternoon and evening shifts as well alternating Saturdays.
