Dear Community Volunteer,

The San Gabriel/Pomona Parents' Place is a non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1989. We are a Family Resource and Empowerment Center that serves families with special needs children between the ages of birth to 22 years. We provide resources and training in order to empower families to navigate the maze of healthcare and educational systems.

Every year we host our Annual Information Fair & Festival at Cortez park. Our Info Fair is dedicated to children with special needs, their families, and the professionals who work with them. After hosting our Annual Information Fair & Festival at Cortez Park we return to the center to unload the truck from all the times we used at the fair. We have a great group of volunteers who sign up to volunteer all day and most of them are tired by the end of the day. We need a Fresh group of volunteers who want to get involved and are unable to help out the whole day but are willing to donate and 2 hours of their time to help us out.

We unload the truck and put the things inside the office. Some things can be heavy therefore, we need strong people to carry items. The more volunteers we have to help out the quicker we will finish. Every little bit helps and we could not do it without the help of volunteers. Please contact Ms. Lawson for more information.
