Your touch can make a world of difference.

If you are caring, flexible, and a good listener - you can provide important emotional and social support for patients who are living with terminal illness. Whether you are reading a book, running an errand, taking a short walk, or listening to stories, your time will make a very special difference in the lives of your patients and their families.

Your weekly visits to our patients will provide important emotional and social support, and you will be an integral part of our teams, helping each patient live their life as fully as possible. Your volunteer time is flexible, based on your availability and our patients’ schedules.

Mission Hospice & Home Care provides personalized, compassionate end-of-life care for patients and families in San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara Counties. As a direct care volunteer, you will support our hospice patients and their families with weekly visits - in their homes, in nursing homes, or wherever they live.

No experience necessary! We provide you with all the training and support you need, including a network of other amazing hospice volunteers. Many of them say that this is the most meaningful work they’ve done.
