ORGANIZATION: EAA - The Spirit of Aviation
Please visit the new page to apply.
Meet new friends and visitors from all over the world as an EAA AirVenture Museum docent.
EAA’s museum docents come from all walks of life, professional and non-professional. Although it's not required, many of those who fill this role are retired and enjoy the camaraderie of other docents.
Most importantly, they bring a variety of talents, skills, and interests to the program. There's no need to be an aviation expert to play a vital role in this activity; training is provided. Some ways that you can participate:
- Greet visitors and provide important information about the EAA AirVenture Museum
- Distribute appropriate literature on EAA membership and education programs
- Participate in the annual EAA AirVenture convention
- Serve as a tour guide for scheduled group tours

Description
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds.
Founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes, EAA expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft.
EAA is the only association that offers the fun and camaraderie of participating in the flying, building, and restoring of recreational aircraft with the most passionate community of aviation enthusiasts.
Ever since EAA’s creation, volunteers have been our heart and soul. Volunteers from all over the world have helped make EAA a recognized leader in the aviation community.
Join us and be a part of this tradition of excellence, while helping us continue to provide high quality programs and services to our members and visitors.
