Every weekday, we deliver meals all over San Antonio and Bexar County for seniors and disabled of all ages who have difficulty leaving their home and preparing their own meals. Delivery is Monday through Friday and delivered around the noon hour. Typically, routes should only take an hour to deliver.

The meals you deliver consist of several separate pieces (meal plate, drink, side items), so there’s lots for little hands to help pack, carry, and deliver to your senior neighbors. Kids are very welcome!

While you can deliver out of our headquarters (4306 NW Loop 410, 78229), we actually have over 50 pick-up locations all over San Antonio! Just contact us to see if there's one in your area.

Every weekday in Bexar County, Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers more than a meal to 3,800 homebound clients. This enables them to remain more healthy and independent in their own homes, where they want to be, avoiding far more costly healthcare alternatives, such as unnecessary trips to the emergency room, hospitalizations and nursing home placements.

Description

Meals on Wheels San Antonio was founded as Christian Senior Services in 1977 as a joint venture between St. John’s and Grace Lutheran Churches. Initially, the agency delivered eight meals daily to homebound seniors and established an adult activity center for five senior clients.
