To promote the dignity and independence of seniors who are in need of nutritious meals, companionship, and Alzheimer’s care.

Description

Meals on Wheels San Antonio was founded as Christian Senior Services in 1977 as a joint venture between St. John’s and Grace Lutheran Churches. Initially, the agency delivered eight meals daily to homebound seniors and established an adult activity center for five senior clients.

I think being there for others in any capacity is a great deed. And so many out there would agree. People want to help but don't know how. Volunteering is such a special thing to do. And my friends would jump at the chance to be there for somebody who needs a smile and a chance to do something fun. Very rewarding.

Because Christian Senior Services is a great program for the seniors in our community.
