The Gathering, a Lyngblomsten group respite program, is adding to the volunteer pool; can you help?

The Gathering provides caregivers a few hours' break while volunteers like you enjoy time with participants who have early memory loss! Caregivers bring their loved one (participant) to one of two locations, St. Paul (Como Neighborhood) or White Bear Lake. Volunteers help participants take part in staff-led, brain-stimulating activities that are fun for everyone. You might work on word puzzles, take part in gentle movement, do some singing, complete a craft project and finish up the day with a story. Training is provided.

Join us as a Respite Assistant (ratio 2 participants to 1 volunteer) or just come for a short time and lead an activity. The Gathering is a four-hour program held twice a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in our Como Park location and once a week (Thursdays) at our White Bear Lake location. Questions? Please contact Melanie at or 651-632-5499. For the health and safety of participants and staff, we request that volunteers are up-to-date with their COVID vaccinations and wear a mask while inside.

**Join us on Zoom for an information session on Thursday, October 6th at 3pm**
We are hosting Zoom information sessions on what volunteering with The Gathering looks and feels like on Thursday, October 6, at 3 PM. To sign up for either information session, please contact Melanie at
