About SAHA's Volunteer Program
SAHA is a non-profit provider of homes and services to low-income families, seniors, and special needs populations in the Bay Area. Part of our core mission is to foster community and personal enrichment among our residents through programming that addresses a range of needs - professional development, civic engagement, active recreation, creative expression, and more. SAHA’s resident services are greatly enhanced through the work of community volunteers, whom we invite to demonstrate compassion, ingenuity, teaching and leadership skills in expanding the availability of resources for the people we serve.
Goal of Position: To promote physical well-being, and provide residents with an artistic and cultural experience through the medium of traditional Chinese dance.
Qualifications: Must be familiar with traditional Chinese dance techniques. Formal training and prior teaching experience is preferred. Ability to communicate in Cantonese/Mandarin highly desired. Volunteer must have patience, commitment, and a friendly demeanor.
