CORE's mission is to help low-income adults acquire the technological and life skills they need to pursue their career aspirations.Classes available (and volunteers needed) in Reston, Herndon, Sterling and Loudoun.
We are looking for people who can teach basic computer skills plus MS Office and career skills. Classes are held in the evening starting mid-January.
We are training volunteers for our August semester. Your next step will be to attend a volunteer training session. Attendance at an orientation session is a mandatory step for classroom volunteers. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the history of our organization, the students we serve, our curriculum, computer resources and the support we offer..
- Falls Church Area: Saturday, July 16th from 10 am to 12:00 pm. at our Bailey’s Crossroad Office: 5881 Leesburg Pike, Suite 204, Falls Church VA 22041. It’s a 4-story office building, west on Leesburg Pike, across the street from Duangrat Restaurant and a Sherman Paint sign. If you use GPS or any mapping app, please be sure to enter the zipcode 22041 as well as the address. Otherwise you will wind up in the middle of Tyson’s Corner and they won’t let you leave unless you buy something ;-)
