Lyman Woods

We are looking for a caring, fun, and dedicated volunteer to help staff with Lyman Wood's NaturePlay School! This is an early childhood program based on the forest school model designed to promote outdoor nature based learning.

Responsibilities of fun: Help staff prepare and set up materials and supplies for the program (outdoors mostly as weather permits), assist in supervising children's free-play, help with craft projects, and help clean up at the end of the program. Assisting the instructor with lessons in creative arts, math, science, and language.

Times available are Monday - Friday 9am - 11am and/or 12:15pm - 2:15pm, come one day or several! 1 hr minimum per shift. Sign up weekly or bi-weekly!

William F. Sherman, Jr. Interpretive Center is the starting off point for exploration of Lyman Woods. The William F. Sherman, Jr. Interpretive Center is a green building exemplifying environmentally friendly building practices and technology. Lyman Woods is 150 acres of oak woods, prairie, and marsh habitats that supports over 300 species of native plants.
