Join Manna Market at Substance Church where over 1,700+ meals are provided to local neighbors per week! Manna markets partner with local stores (various grocery stores, Target, and Wal-Mart locations) where useable food is picked-up, sorted, and given to people on distribution days offered a few times each week. Interested volunteers can choose their preferred day and choose to serve weekly, bi-weekly and do not have to complete an entire shift.

Here are several immediate opportunities available:

  • Mondays | 8 am-10 am set-up, 1:00 PM-3:30 PM pack boxes with non-perishable items and non-refridgerated produce, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM pick refridgerated items during distribution and add it into boxes, 5:30 PM-7:30 PM clean-up.
  • Thursdays | 8 am-10 am set-up, 1:00 PM-3:30 PM pack boxes with non-perishable items and non-refridgerated produce, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM pick refridgerated items during distribution and add it into boxes, 5:30 PM-7:30 PM clean-up.
  • Saturdays | 7:00 AM-9:30 AM to set-up, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM pick refridgerated items during distribution, clean-up 12 PM-2 PM.

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits. Become one of nearly a half million RSVP volunteers across the country who are making a difference in their community.
