VTS provides transitioning military service members and military spouses with career management coaching and resume writing services to help them compete in the civilian market place before they leave the military. Resume writers and career coaches are individuals who have current experience with the internal hiring processes of companies or have management level experience in operations. This is a vital role at VTS and you would be providing a full cycle of service for an individual veteran starting with helping them translate their resume for specific job opportunities that match their military skill sets with a civilian career so that human resource managers can easily read and understand what the veteran is capable of so they get past the gate keepers and in front of hiring decision makers. The service member will also need interview preparation and follow up coaching so they learn over time to be effective in their job search and interviewing skills.

VTS seeks volunteers who will help us continue to grow and serve active duty military service members and spouses as they transition back into civilian sector. VTS offers a unique opportunity to serve the active duty military personnel and see first hand the impact a small amount of target help can have on the lives and families of military personnel who spent their careers serving us, many of whom have 10 to 30 years of management experience in multiple areas that must be deciphered, translated, transferred and matched to its civilian corollary.
