Volunteer Positions

Volunteers play a vital role in Metro Caring's success and the impact that we are able to provide with our community. Here is a list of volunteer positions for our fresh foods market.

  • The Front End: Front end Volunteers are the first point of contact with excellent customer service skills for community members. Bilingual volunteers highly encouraged.

  • Food Access: The Market: Market Volunteers are highly involved in our fresh foods market experience. The roles range from customer service and stationary to active and lifting.

  • Food Access: The Warehouse: Warehouse Volunteers work directly with all our food in the warehouse. These roles ensure the quality of the food we are distributing.

VOLUNTEER INTAKE FORM
  1. Fill out the Volunteer Intake Form at metrocaring.org/volunteer.

    • If you have any questions, please email Volunteer Intake Coordinator, Yazmin at ycastillo@metrocaring.org.

  2. Sign-up and Attend our Mandatory New Volunteer Orientation (Link to sign-up within Volunteer Intake From). We host orientation every Thursday at Metro Caring from 3:30-4:30 pm. (We are on the corner of 18th & Downing--1100 E.18th Ave. Denver CO 80218.)

  3. Once you have attended orientation, sign-up to volunteer using our job calendar on our website!

Metro Caring is Denver's Leading anti-hunger organization working to end hunger at it's root. Our fresh foods market is at the heart of Metro Caring where shoppers get to choose from an array of nutritious food based on their dietary needs and preferences. In addition we have nutrition and cooking classes, urban agriculture, community activation and community development programs. Want to learn more about what all of these programs do working with our community? Come volunteer with us!
